QUOTE (FastGT94 @ August 13, 2009 05:56 am)
electric 94-95?

user posted image

Two of the billet aluminum and one anodized red. When I bought mine I ordered for 94-95, I got a fox one, I called summit or jegs who ever I bought it from and they said they don't have 94-95 and you need to run a fox timing cover to run these pumps. I have been running a fox timing cover. If you are interested I also have a spare fox timing cover.
I am running the red one and will be keeping one for the chance I go air to water intercooled down the road. So I will be selling one aluminum colored. As far as I know they have both been used.

How much for the pump? I'm having a clearance issue with my edelbrock and had to put a stock balancer on for the time being, my SFI one was rubbing. I think a CSR would clear it.

Have a carb fox timing cover by chance? I don't want to tap the pan again on the drivers side, i was just gonna return into the fuel pump hole with a -12 fitting.

Also, does anyone have a stock crank pulley? With my underdrive crank, 93 cobra w/p pulley and march alt bracket i'm barely getting any belt wrap

Regis, yes its a carb timing cover with bolt on plate where the original mechanical fuel pump goes. Figure $30 for the timing cover and $150 for the water pump setup.

Chris will your car be done for october? There's 1 spot left for King of the street at 41, 500.00 buy in, about 10k to the winner. No prep past the start line, 28" tire 10.5 max. There's bottom 8 sec cars entering just like last year but if you can't get the power to the ground mid 9 cars were dominating.. let me know.

p.s. no need for the timing cover, i'm just gonna use my return for the old vortech set up on the pass side, i ran a -12 line and it clears everything just fine.. i got my water pump to clear with a stock balancer so no need for the pump, but thanks!

That would be cool but I don't think I'll have the funds to be ready for it this year. I may have the car running but not tuned plus the entrance fee and money to get down there.
Thanks though it would be a good idea, maybe next year. You don't get the money for being the quickest though, its all points added up correct? I'd prolly get dinged for no p/s, a/c or overdrive.
That's also lame there is a tire size limit, the limit should be a dot approve tire.

it's all heads up clocks off, hoods don't get opened and NO tech, nothing to get dinged on don't worry. No points, you draw out of a hat who you're running, u lose and you're out for good. you win you get next round..

DOT tire and no prep past the start line would be daring haha

Oh I see, I remember you telling me about this event. This is a real king of the street event with real money. I thought you were talking about 5.0 magazines gay ass k.o.t.s. I was gonna say I didn't remember any 10k prize for that lol!
Certainly next year but won't be able to this year. It will give me something to work for. I feel I may need bigger turbos for this engine.

I was gonna go to Rich Groh cause he did my old twisted wedge heads for a really good deal, but I can't get a hold of him, the phone number is missing a digit on the website, I tried emailing, and Noodles well that's a whole nother story tring to get that guy to return a call or pick up a phone.
Either way AES is closer and I don't really have much machine work to do. I'm pretty much just having them polish the crank, check the rod that spun a bearing and have them spin it up to check balance just for peace of mind. I'm just replacing all bearings but gonna reuse the rings as everything is labled and best part is only has dyno time, 32 miles truestreet cruise, and 4 track passes....that's it! Shits brand new. I already checked the ring end gaps in each cylinder, the gaps are within reason but slightly on the large side(well not really)...but I've never checked endgaps on a motor that has been ran, only a fresh build so I'll ask AES if they know how much it may open it up after breakin. Either way I'm not concerned as I was only looking at .032" top ring and the second ring is a tight .030", its a 4.155" bore. Let me know if you know any info about it, I will prolly check mitchell at work and see what it says cause I know it gives different specs for things like rear ends new and broken in and prolly has specs for this.
Peace

AES eh??... disappointed when my best friend just spent about 11k there and they half ass'd his mod motor. all my other friends with sbc's, bbc's, ls1's have had good luck. Seems like your build will be straight forward and everything will be fine. Ring gap seems normal, double check with them
